Method 1: Through Settings (Most Android Devices)
Steps:
- Open Settings
- Look for the gear icon & in your app drawer or quick settings panel
- Tap to open
- Scroll to “About Phone”
- You’ll see this option at the bottom of the settings menu
- May be under “System” or “General Management” on some devices
- Tap “About Phone” or “About Device”
- This opens device information
- Look for “Model Name” or “Model Number”
- You’ll see details like:
- Model: Samsung Galaxy S21
- Model Number: SM-G991B
- You’ll see details like:
What you’ll see:
- Device name and photo
- Android version
- Model number
- Serial number
- IMEI information
Method 2: Quick Settings Search
- Swipe down from top of screen
- Tap the search icon 🔍
- Type “About phone”
- Tap the result

🍎 APPLE iPHONE
Steps to Check iPhone Model:
- Open Settings
- Gray gear icon ⚙️ on your home screen
- Tap to open
- Tap “General”
- Located near the top of the settings list
- Tap “About”
- First option at the top of the General menu
- Find “Model Name”
- You’ll see: “iPhone 14 Pro” (or your model)
- Tap “Model Name” to see Model Number
- Shows format like: MQ0C3LL/A
- The first letter indicates type (M = retail, F = refurbished, etc.)
What you’ll see on the About screen:
- Name
- Model Name
- Model Number
- Serial Number
- IMEI
- iOS Version
- Storage capacity
iPhone:
- Back of iPhone: Model printed on back (iPhone 6s and earlier)
- Settings → General → About → Legal → Regulatory
- Original box or receipt
